Our Amazing God

Scripture Text: Ecclesiastes 11:5

As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.

Ecclesiastes 11:5

We know something about science. Science explains and observes anything around us. We also know about arithmetics, geometry, mathematics. These are to compute the accurate dimension of anything. However, there is a great Creator who can never be understood nor be explained by science or human thinking alone. There is a God who created things around us.

The author of Ecclesiastes is a man who possessed wisdom and understanding. He cannot imagine the greatness of God. In Job's story, when he protested and petitioned his right when God tested his life if he is righteous. He said in the last chapter of Job 42:2-3, "I know that you can do all things, no plan of yours can be thwarted. You asked, "Who is this that obscures my counsel without knowledge? Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know." This was because Job wanted to have merit of being wise then God questioned him if he understands the things God created. Then, Job understood and concluded that God is beyond his understanding, that is why he confessed and despised himself and repented in dust and ashes.

We also must acknowledge the wonderful works of God even in our own lives. He knows everything, that is why we must trust Him because the Holy Spirit will reveal little by little the knowledge about God, when we have faith in God. God will reveal all things to us as long our mind and heart can absorb because the spirit of God lives in us. In 1 Corinthians 2:16, it says, "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. But for now we know little about Christ the someday when we meet him face to face with him then that is the day we fully understand God." Praise our God. He is amazing God.

Reflect

1. Do you listen to someone whom you can speak to and understand? 2. Are you amazed with the wonders of this world created by God? 3. Do you fear God for what He has done?

Remember

If man can create complicated things, God is more complicated to understand when He created a thing, something beyond our understanding.

I adore you, oh Lord, for Your wonderful creation that I am enjoying in my life. You are amazing God who is worthy of my praise even if I know little about You. You share Your wisdom to me, for me to seach You and find You and to know Your words. Thank You, oh Lord, for Your provisions. This I pray in Jesus' Name. Amen.
