Scripture Text: Proverbs 8:22-23
The LORD possessed me at the beginning of his work,
the first of his acts of old.
Ages ago I was set up,
at the first, before the beginning of the earth.
Proverbs 8:22-23
Wisdom pertained here is one of the characters of God. God created wisdom first of all his works. Before anything else, wisdom was created by God. Therefore, wisdom is from God. God possessed wisdom in the beginning, like a craftsman in his side.
Wisdom is very important in our daily life because it can cause us to be successful and victorious. In short meaning, wisdom is the way of God, instructions to follow to live in God's Word. Wisdom will guide us on how we live pleasing the Lord our God.
When the Lord gave wisdom to a wise man like Solomon, he applied it to his everyday life. Solomon wrote numerous proverbs in his time. He undertook great projects using his wisdom. Solomon described plant life from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also taught about animals, birds, reptiles, and fish. He was wiser than any other man and his fame spread to all surrounding nations because of his God-given wisdom.
When God gave wisdom to a man like us, we are blessed because we have received favor from the Lord. When we saw the things created by God using His wisdom, we saw nature in perfect rhythm plus the perfect color combination was so impressive. A wise artist can imitate and capture only a little glimpse of nature in his canvas, and we appreciate it, but it cannot be compared to the real beauty of nature created by God.
How wonderful that God created man in His own image and likeness; the very form of man was created with amazing details using God's wisdom. Not only that, but there are also so many things. This wisdom was shared by God to us to use it and apply it in our lives. When a man receives favor from God, wisdom is the best gift because God allows us to be creative to discover useful things. The important thing is, if we know about wisdom, we will know the ways of God—His instruction and His will for us to follow.
God commanded us to fear Him and obey His commandments because it is our duty to fulfill it. Give thanks to the wisdom shared to us by God. This is the glory of wisdom.

Remember
The best gift that we can ever receive is not gold or silver, but godly wisdom shared by God to those He loves.
