Completing the Cycle of Life Again

Scripture Text: Ecclesiastes 3:14-17

I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him.

Ecclesiastes 3:14

What a big universe! The author cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. He observed each happening time under heaven—time to be born and to die, a time to plant and to uproot, and so on. The sun is still burning—nothing is changing. Nothing will last forever says the old proverbs, but the author said that everything God does will endure forever.

Let us take a look at the time and season, there are cycles proving that everything God does will repeat over and over again. God knows everything from the beginning of life. God creates first the necessary needs of man before he created man because God knows man will also a tendency of being a co-creator like God. God had put it already to use, once a man wants to recreate, it is already complete, and man must search and discover it. When he needs food, there are plenty of them. All that has been and will be have been made before. The cycle of life exists.

After the author’s long observation of life, he could not add more of what God has already made. The author concluded that we must revere and fear God because of these natural and supernatural phenomena that we have been experiencing from the past to the present time.

The timetable of God is already planned, and it is progressing each day. Time passes by until the future time is done by God so never question God about what happens from time to time because He is the author of time, we are only part of His eternal plan and all will be brought to judgment—both good and evil deeds of men.

Reflect

  1. How do you spend your time?

  2. Where do you use your extra time?

  3. When do think is time for a change of point of view?

Remember

We must revere and fear God for His amazing creation. We have a wonderful God who created everything beyond our imagination.
