Scripture Text: John 1:12
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
John 1:12
Has it come to your mind, that what if you are a son or daughter of the president of the country? How does it feel like? What authority, power, and privileges do you have? Everything you want will be given to you. Wherever you want to go, you can go. Everything is in the grasp of your hands. You will be respected by all. Of course, there are some limitations, because your father doesn't want you to be hurt by someone or something. In other words, you have an amazing blessing in your life. You're an elite, you're an untouchable and one of the most respectful ones. Everybody wants to be like you, isn’t it?
The Bible says those who will receive, that is accepting and acknowledging Christ as the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16), and believe, that is trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ as the only Messiah, in the Lord Jesus Christ will have the right to become children of God.
God is the most powerful Being not just in a country, continent, or even the planet but the entire creation. One who has the sovereign power and authority over all created things in heaven and on earth, seen and unseen. That is why, it is also written in the Bible that children of God will not have to be afraid of everything.
Reflect
1. Do you believe in the Lord Jesus?
2. Have you accepted him as your Lord and Savior? If not, pray and receive Him at this moment.
3. Do you now believe that you are very precious in His eyes?
4. Are you now enjoying the benefits of being a child of God?
Remember
If being a child of a popular and a famous person on earth was desirable and pleasing to ask for, it is more meaningful and wiser to be a child of God. Not only can He give you the things of this life, but also the things after this life in eternity. Pursue Him! Pursue Jesus!

Pray
Father I thank you for giving me your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that by receiving Him as my Lord and believing in what he has done to save me from my sin, I will become a child of God. I pray for my loved ones, family, and friends that they too will come to a point to know you, receive you, and believe you as their Lord and Savior. These I pray in the most precious Name of Jesus the Christ, amen.
