Scripture Text: Galatians 1:6-12
For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
Galatians 1:12
Fountain of Youth, Philosopher's Stone, Nirvana—these are some things people have been seeking for the longest time to attain eternal life. There are different philosophies and religions that promote eternal life and tell people different ways and routes to eternity, but there is one route that was not made by men, but of God. That is the only way to eternal life, which is in Christ Jesus.
Apostle Paul was disappointed because of how people in Galatia are easily swayed by false teaching to the point of turning their back on Christ and chasing another gospel because during these times, false teachers are everywhere, teaching their own ways to get to their gods.
We as Christians know that there is no other way for us to be reconciled with God. It is only through our Lord Jesus Christ as mentioned in Acts 4:12, and Christ also declared this in John 14:6. Apostle Paul was worried because there are teachers who distort the gospel of Christ.
Anyone who distorts or changes the gospel according to how they want it to be and not according to how it was written will not get the full grasp of the gospel since people are trying to tailor-fit the word of God to their lifestyle while the gospel is teaching us to repent from all of these sins and completely follow the will of God.
Apostle Paul reinforced the fact that the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is true since he himself experienced directly from Jesus Christ. Does that mean we should be worried since Christ did not show to us directly when we received the gospel? No, the Holy Spirit was there to convict us and is convicting us daily through the Word of God as we are being transformed daily in the image of Christ.
Reflect
1. Do we hold fast to the fact that Christ's gospel is the only gospel given by God?
2. Do we guard our thoughts from outside theologies that might influence our hearts that there are other ways to God?
Remember
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is given by God for us to be saved. This is the only power given and in His Name and authority alone His people will be saved and be with Him forevermore.

Pray
I pray to You, everlasting Father, who loved me with an everlasting love and redeemed me from my sins. I am asking for the power of the Holy Spirit to protect my heart from destructive teachings that harms my faith in You. Give me discernment to know this and be able to stand my ground as a good soldier of Christ. All these I pray in the Name of my Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
