God Loves His People

Scripture Text: Malachi 1:2

“I have loved you,” says the Lord. But you say, “How have you loved us?” “Is not Esau Jacob's brother?” declares the Lord. “Yet I have loved Jacob

Malachi 1:2

Christians are not free from any difficulties in life. Most of us are leaning on our own knowledge and strength instead of relying on God's wisdom and power. Because of the sinful and selfish ways, problems occur and trouble lives. People start to question God, where His love is. If we are experiencing hardships and difficulties in our lives, it is because we tend to be stubborn and not do His will. We have no right to question our Sovereign Lord. All we have to do is commit and continue to commit our lives to Him and in Him, through the help of the Holy Spirit.

God loved and chose us even before the earth and universe were created through His Son Jesus Christ. He showed us His love on the cross. This is the reason why His covenant-love and promises to our forefathers continue and we enjoy it now, and this covenant will last up to eternal life.

God gave us the privilege to worship our Lord Jesus faithfully in spirit and in truth. God gave us the privilege to serve Him by heart through our home church. God gave us the privilege to proclaim the gospel to save many people who are still in the dark world through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. God gave us the privilege to make disciples for our Lord Jesus, to teach and train people to be kingdom people. When a person does all these privileges, life becomes blessed by the Creator, the Blesser, the Giver. As a legit follower of Christ, it is our honor to show our love, respect, and gratitude to our Lord, our King, our Savior Christ Jesus by doing the above privileges for His glory and for the advancement of His Kingdom while waiting for His final coming.

Reflect

1. What is love to you?

2. When do you say you have love?

3. When can you find true love?

4. How can you have love in this life?

Remember

God loves us through Jesus Christ and He wants us to enjoy the privileges and benefits of being His proper people. Don't waste it!

Prayer

Dear God, thank You for the love that You intimately show us through our Lord Jesus; for the love that can never be equaled, even with the most precious and expensive things in this world. Thank you for making us part of Your heavenly kingdom despite our heart's and mind's stubbornness.

Whatever we may have done that dishonored Your name and grieved You, forgive us.

Thank You for the privileges that empowered us to worship You in spirit and in truth. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
