Full Faith to Jesus Christ is Needed!

Scripture Text: Joshua 6:6-16, 20

On the seventh day, they got up at dawn and marched around the city seven times. They marched in the same way they had marched on the days before, but on that day they marched around the city seven times. And at the seventh time, when the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, “Shout, for the Lord has given you the city.

So the people shouted, and the trumpets were blown. As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted a great shout, and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they captured the city.

Joshua 6:15-16, 20

God commanded the Israelites through Joshua to obey all the instructions He made for the sake of His Name and for His people. The priests who carried the Ark of the Covenant, the leaders of each tribe, and the armies and the people obeyed and followed God's instructions through Joshua and everything was coordinated well. Even with the small details, they followed it (v.10). Because of their faith in God, the wall of Jericho totally colapsed and they easily conquered the city (vv. 5, 20).

In Hebrews 11:30, Apostle Paul also emphasized the importance of full faith to God through Jesus Christ. It is because our Lord has an authority to control everything in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18). He is powerful, He knows everything, He is present everywhere. He is God before the creation was made.

The true and genuine followers of Christ must obey every detail and instruction written in the Bible. This is a great reminder and challenge to all who are claiming that they are the children of God whose hearts are committed to Jesus Christ.

The Lord has a better and detailed plan for us to be proper kingdom people. However, if we ignore and neglect it or if we do things without His wisdom or maybe because we lack faith, the result will be a terrible suffering or destruction.

Therefore, whether we are in difficult situations or not, we must continue to worship God, serve the church, and make disciples for Him.

We always ask God to empower us by the Holy Spirit to strengthen our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Reflect

1. Do you have full faith in Jesus?

2. Do you follow and obey His commands?

3. Do you want to honor him as Lord?

Remember

Kingdom people must have the full faith and full trust in God through Jesus Christ!

Amen!
